Stellar Lineup on "Miles Around" by Peter Daniel

Miles Around by Peter Daniel and the Quartets

Seattle saxophonist Peter Daniel has teamed up with an all-star female rhythm section for his latest single, "Miles Around," released by Music Factory Records.  This infectious track is the second single from Daniel's upcoming project "Quartets," featuring some of the finest funk and jazz musicians in the Northwest.

"Miles Around" lays down an irresistible groove from the very first note. Marina Christopher's bass line lays the foundation, reminiscent of the legendary Ron Carter. Heather Thomas on drums keeps the beat tight and propulsive, while Marina Albero on Fender Rhodes adds spicy flourishes with her keyboard work. The combination creates a rich soundscape, a perfect backdrop for Peter Daniel's saxophone to soar.

Daniel's playing is nothing short of masterful. Years of experience honed with renowned acts like 45th Street Brass shine through. His solos are smooth and expressive, weaving through the melody with the confidence of a seasoned musician. There's a clear sense of connection between the musicians, a shared passion that elevates the music to a whole new level.

"Miles Around" isn't just a display of technical skill, though. The music evokes a mood, a smoky jazz club atmosphere where the music takes center stage. It's a track that will leave you wanting more, eager to hear what other magic Peter Daniel cooks up on his upcoming "Quartets" project.
