Anton Commissaris is a music composer, pianist, and vocalist based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Anton loves all music but has a special place in his heart for Jazz, which he acquired from an early age. Anton's inspiration comes from some of Jazz music's greatest composers: Cole Porter, Harold Arlen, and Antonio Carlos Jobim. Lennon-McCartney's amazing music first inspired Anton to try his hand at music composition.
Anton's first release of 2022 is the new 5 track EP "Awakening Sounds", where Anton stretches his Jazz foundations with notes of Soul, R&B, and Afro-Cuban rhythms.
It’s always amazing to see how a longtime artist breaks out to create their own projects. Sometimes it’s absolutely captivating, and that’s the case for the recently revived solo project by jazz artist Anton Commissaris. Recently he’s released his latest EP ‘Awakening Sounds’ which includes an amazing single, ‘Got that feeling.’
Got that feeling’ is proof that a full and gorgeous sound can be captured with just strings and vocals. The use of guitar. trumpet and drums round out the instrumentation in an emotional and colorful way. Each instrument gets its own chance to shine, and the violin solo at the end is so wonderfully done it’s chilling.
Anton Commissaris with his vocals, building amazing harmonies throughout the track. With little time to prepare, Anton killed it. These are awesome scores that work well together, and they work together to create a great dynamic in the music.
